my proper jobsJust an itinerant bass player, a musical slut who'll do any gig for a bob or two? Absolutely. Got me in one. Dorset Echo I write ‘What’s On Live’ a weekly feature in the Dorset Echo, highlighting the remarkably healthy live music scene in the Weymouth/Bridport/Dorchester area. It appears in the Friday editions of the paper. EDP The Exeter Drugs Project works with people across Devon and in Dorset who have or are affected by drug and alcohol problems, and I’ve been doing volunteer work there since May 2010. The project differs from organizations like AA in that it is prepared to work with people who are still using drugs and/or drinking, helping them to keep their lives together while assisting and encouraging them in their attempts to get clean and sober. We also work with the families and friends of those with addiction issues. EDP also provides a needle exchange and has a drop-in centre where clients can have a cup of tea and a natter with staff and other clients in a relaxed and friendly environment. The Weymouth office is at 5 Belle Vue, Weymouth, behind the Alexandra Gardens.
