The original Barrelhouse Blues Club was formed back in 1989 by Paul Hart and Stuart Booth; Paul still organises the gigs. The club exists to bring, to the Blackmore Vale, quality Blues, Rock and Jazz musicians for the enjoyment of those living in God's own neck of the woods - and beyond.

We are a small, but growing, record label based in the South West of England. Started in 1994, our main aim is to make available to a larger audience, some of the great music that is being created by the bedroom pop stars and underground heroes of the truly independent music scene. Some of our artists include power pop giants Cheese, the Brian Wilson inspired Peter Lacey, the uniquely talented Bitter Little Cider Apples and the charismatic Steve Wilson. Simon has been playing for about 25 years. He was first inspired by his Uncle who got him going with a violin and a two week lesson. Since then he has been mainly self taught except for 3 years at Music College where he had lessons in the classical style.
